Beautiful red-orange flared hanging bells all winter. Scrambling climber with tuberous root. Dormant in summer, keep almost dry. Edible sweet fruits. Likes sun in UK, light shade in sunnier climes. Tolerates temperatures down to freezing but not below. Prefers a cool moist atmosphere (grows in cloud forests on Canary Islands) 4ft or more
